A BIG Thank You - Sat 4th July
|

I just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful day on Sat 4th July......
We arrived at Bury to be welcomed by a secretary who was not only friendly but genuinely happy to be there, she answered all my questions with kindness and interest (this is very often missing in some of the bigger EC's).
We started to tack up only to find out I had forgot my girth (Doh) ..... Usually it would have been a case of box the horse up and off home.. But due to the warm welcome we had received I advised the secretary of my foolish mistake and straight away she phoned the yard for them to bring round a girth or two. When these one's didn't fit she asked another bury farm worker to take my mum to the tack room to find one that would. Meanwhile they moved me down in the jump order and asked if we need anything else.
We found a girth to fit and completed two brilliant rounds. The course was beautifully built and I was really impressed that they racked the school between classes. I can say hand on heart it was one of the best day's we 'as a family, including horse, friends and small child' have had at an horse event for sometime.
The facilities are second to none and what really makes the place is the staff, they are happy, kind and treat people with respect and a smile. Alot of other EC's could learn from Bury Farm, so thanks again for a wonderful day and going the extra mile.
Please pass on my thanks to all the staff that helped us on Sat and I'm sure we will return soon.

On arrival I was greeted by reception whose friendly and welcoming approach made me instantly
forget the long and difficult journey and felt relaxed in their company. From that moment on
I was impressed by all the staff's understanding, organization and approachability. I was so
meticulously taken through the venue and its facilities I was unusually left without questions
and so struck by the services that it was instantly apparent that this was no ordinary venue.
The Tack Shop was open, large and modern with plenty of knowledgeable and helpful staff at hand,
better than any in my are and stocked every conceivable need. There was a Veterinary practice
on site a clean and modern restaurant and a good quality wash down. I settled my horse and
found everything incredibly accessible. My horse, who can be tense at large events settled
quickly and appeared very happy in his relaxing surrounding. Throughout the weekend I was
very pleased with the quality of the arena's and the surfaces. Particularly with the number
of times the arenas were prepared and managed. Every night we all enjoyed welcoming hospitality
that went the extra distance to ensure we enjoyed the event to its fullest. When talking to
Bury Farm representatives I was very impressed with the huge amount of work they have done
and their plans for the future. This venue clearly stands out as a huge opportunity for
equestrianism.

I have recently returned from a BD Training camp at Bury Farm and I am very impressed!
From the moment we arrived we were treated like VIPs as were all the horses' riders and
supporters. Bury Farm made us so welcome, their attention to detail made the weekend
flow seamlessly and we appreciated how hard the Bury Farm team worked to create the
right atmosphere. There was a positive buzz all weekend, in the cafe and by the
arenas as people enjoyed the training and the down time in fantastic comfort.
What a venue - book me in for next year and I hope to return even sooner to compete.

What a task for any venue to host 60+ senior BD members for their first ever camp, but
from lorry logistics to stabling rearranging Alan and his team were on hand to
personally deal with any problems or worries we may have had. Facilities wise Bury Farm
seems to have everything and yet they are still expanding, I can't wait to see how it
develops over the coming months and years - with affiliated dressage comps due to start
soon I will have plenty of reasons to go back and see. A big thank you to Alan and
the whole team for making us and our horses feel so welcome, just wish you were slightly
closer to home so Larry could move in permanently!!

The facilities were quite 'out of this world', the venue was easily accessible
and the staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them;
they always served you with a smile and made you feel so welcome! Even my stable
was made up for me - I was chuffed to bits! Alan and his team pulled out every
stop that they could for us all!
The yard was beautifully kept and the design has been thought out with every horse
owner in mind.
